Renowned actor Rajinikanth was discharged from Apollo Hospitals at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024, after receiving treatment for a medical issue.
The cinematic icon had been admitted to the hospital on September 30 due to severe stomach pain and was diagnosed with swelling in the aorta, the primary blood vessel originating from the heart.
A recent medical bulletin revealed that Rajinikanth successfully underwent a non-surgical transcatheter procedure to address the aortic swelling, during which a stent was placed to seal the affected area. Led by senior interventional cardiologist Sai Satish, the procedure proceeded as planned, and the actor’s condition is now stable.
