Just over a year after its launch, Activision is set to conclude support for Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, removing the game from both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
In an official statement, Activision announced, “Going forward, we will be streamlining the scope of the game.” The last day the game will be available for download is May 18. As of now, the purchase of Call of Duty Points and Black Cell has been stopped, and social features will also be retired.
Despite this, players who have already downloaded Warzone Mobile will still have access to the game. This means while new downloads will be disabled starting this weekend, existing players can continue to play. No timeline has been provided regarding the shutdown of game servers.
Activision confirmed, “Players who have the game installed before May 19, 2025, will retain access along with cross-progression of shared inventories and matchmaking for online play.” Additionally, any unspent COD Points can be redeemed in-game for available content.
However, future content updates will not roll out for Warzone Mobile, and refunds for purchased COD Points or Black Cell will not be provided.
“This decision was made after careful consideration of various factors,” Activision stated. “While we are proud of our achievements in bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile, it has not met our expectations with mobile-first players as effectively as it has with those on PC and consoles.”
As support for Warzone Mobile winds down, reports suggest that Activision’s development teams are shifting focus to new projects.
