ECNETNews reports that Kim Gordon has unveiled a digital deluxe edition of her highly acclaimed second solo album, The Collective, initially released earlier this year. This expanded version features two new tracks: the previously released “ECRP” and the freshly launched “Bangin’ on the Freeway.” The official music video for “Bangin’ on the Freeway,” directed by Gordon’s daughter, Coco Gordon Moore, adds a personal touch to the release.
In addition to the digital edition, The Collective will also be released on vinyl, with physical copies set to hit shelves on December 13. “Bangin’ on the Freeway” marks the second single to receive a visual interpretation by Coco Gordon Moore, following the earlier release of “ECRP.” Other notable music videos for the album were directed by Clara Balzary (“Bye Bye”), Alex Ross Perry (“I’m a Man”), and Vice Cooler (“Psychedelic Orgasm”), with the first two featuring Coco Gordon Moore in prominent roles.
Since embarking on a successful tour to promote The Collective—which included a memorable performance on late-night television’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, marking Gordon’s solo debut—she has also collaborated with the band Model Home, releasing a new track titled “Razzamatazz,” co-produced with Justin Raisen, who collaborated with her on both The Collective and 2021’s No Home Record.
