Nintendo is set to enhance its Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service by adding two nostalgic titles next week: F-Zero: GP Legend and F-Zero Climax, launching on October 11.
Originally released in 2003 and 2004, respectively, these games represent the last entries in the beloved F-Zero series for the Game Boy Advance. F-Zero: GP Legend offers an engaging story mode along with Grand Prix and Time Attack options, featuring a diverse cast of racers.
F-Zero Climax has never been localized until now, marking a significant milestone for fans outside Japan. This title introduces an innovative course editor and is hailed as the final new release in the series for years. The F-Zero franchise remained largely inactive for over 19 years, until the debut of F-Zero 99 in 2023.
Both titles will be available exclusively through the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack, which also provides access to classic Nintendo 64 games and select DLC expansions for various Switch titles. Subscribers can enjoy these offerings at $50 per year for an individual membership, or $80 annually for a family plan that supports up to eight accounts.
In addition to this exciting release, F-Zero 99 is set to receive a free 1.5 update, which will introduce a new Grand Prix league, five additional tracks, and new machine decals, further enriching the gameplay experience for all Nintendo Switch Online members.
