In an exciting announcement, Super Falcons midfielder Ngozi Okobi has welcomed a new addition to her family.
The talented player shared the joyous news of her child’s arrival on Tuesday, celebrating the milestone on social media. “Congratulations to me. #godbepraised #iamamother #newmom. I am in my new season #NSPPD,” she wrote, accompanied by heartfelt photos.
Throughout her pregnancy, Okobi opted to keep her journey private, occasionally sharing glimpses of her life through gym videos and casual posts.
Married to Okeoghene since December 9, 2017, in Delta State, Okobi has continued her illustrious football career, playing for nearly seven years before this new chapter in her life.
The midfielder has represented Nigeria on several prestigious stages, including the 2010 U-17 Women’s World Cup, multiple WAFCON tournaments from 2010 to 2022, and the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and 2019.
However, she was notably left out of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup squad by the previous coach, Randy Waldrum, and has not returned to the national team since that decision.
