Telangana is bracing for a significant return of rainfall, as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for two districts and a yellow alert for ten others, effective Thursday, September 5, 2024.
Affected Districts
The IMD bulletin indicates that heavy to very heavy rainfall (orange alert) is anticipated in isolated regions of Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mulugu districts. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been placed for Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts, where heavy rainfall is expected.
Moreover, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds are predicted across various districts in Telangana.
Hyderabad Weather Outlook
Hyderabad and its nearby regions are forecasted to experience overcast skies in the coming 24 hours. The IMD predicts light to moderate rain or thunder showers with gusty winds in the city, with maximum and minimum temperatures expected around 28°C and 23°C, respectively.
