Chinta Mohan, a prominent Congress leader and former Minister, has urged the Central Government to allocate ₹5,000 crore to Andhra Pradesh to help address the severe challenges posed by recent floods. The state has experienced unprecedented damages and requires immediate financial assistance.
The floods have created significant hardships for residents and farmers, particularly in Vijayawada, Guntur, and Godavari districts. Many communities are currently submerged, and several regions remain isolated, with victims urgently seeking help. Tragically, some individuals have lost their lives due to the flooding, according to Chinta Mohan.
Dr. Mohan praised the State government for its swift action in providing relief efforts amidst the crisis. He acknowledged the Chief Minister and fellow Ministers for their commitment to reaching out to those trapped in the floodwaters.
