NFL Player Ricky Pearsall Shot in San Francisco Incident
NFL star Ricky Pearsall has been shot in the chest during an attempted robbery in San Francisco. The 23-year-old player is currently in a serious but stable condition, as confirmed by the San Francisco 49ers, following the incident that occurred near Union Square on Saturday afternoon.
Authorities have detained a 17-year-old suspect, with charges pending. Eyewitness footage captured the moment Pearsall was escorted to an ambulance by paramedics, visibly injured and applying pressure to his chest.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered two individuals with injuries, both of whom were transported to the hospital. According to police reports, an attempted robbery led to a physical confrontation between Pearsall and the suspect.
Pearsall was selected as a first-round draft pick by the 49ers earlier this year, entering the NFL after an impressive college career. He had recently returned to practice following a shoulder injury, just weeks ahead of the team’s inaugural game of the season scheduled for September 10.
