Instagram has unveiled a new feature allowing users to add text directly onto their photo posts, similar to the functionality available in Reels. This exciting update enables users to overlay phrases like “Live Laugh Love” on their captivating travel photos, giving their followers a unique viewing experience.
The announcement, made in a recent blog update, introduces the ability to incorporate words and photo stickers directly within posts, complete with a variety of new fonts. This enhancement adds a creative layer during the editing phase of Instagram posts, allowing for personalized expression.

Additionally, users can layer more images by selecting the gallery button. After adding multiple images, they can easily move and resize them. While the current feature lacks the ability to manage or lock layers, similar to Reels, future updates may introduce these capabilities. Tapping on the sticker also allows users to modify its shape, further personalizing their posts.
This update follows several recent enhancements to Instagram, including trials of rectangle grids, increased carousel limits to 20 images, profile songs reminiscent of Myspace, multi-track options for Reels, ephemeral notes in Reels and posts, and the ability to create an AI version of oneself.
