Megan Thee Stallion is set to host the highly anticipated 2024 MTV Video Music Awards on September 11 at UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. This marks a significant milestone as it will be her debut as the master of ceremonies for the iconic event, which will be broadcast live starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
Earlier this summer, the Houston rapper released her latest album, Megan, and recently unveiled the music video for her collaboration with Yuki Chiba titled "Mamushi."
Megan’s accomplishments at the VMAs have been impressive; she secured her first Moonperson in 2019 for Best Power Anthem with the hit "Hot Girl Summer," featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign. This year, she leads with five nominations, including four for her song "Boa," which has earned nods for Best Hip-Hop, Best Direction, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction. Additionally, she is competing for Best Collaboration with Glorilla for their track "Wanna Be."
The full list of nominees for the 2024 VMAs was announced earlier this month. The ceremony will feature performances from notable artists including Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, Glorilla, Rauw Alejandro, and Sabrina Carpenter, with Katy Perry being honored with this year’s Video Vanguard Award.
