The Postal Service has released a fresh remix of their iconic 2003 track “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” by Sylvan Esso. This new version comes just ahead of the highly anticipated extended tour featuring the Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie, which celebrates the anniversaries of the albums Give Up and Transatlanticism.
Sylvan Esso shared their excitement about the remix, noting that both members have fond memories associated with the original song. The duo’s Nick Sanborn recalled hearing a promotional version playing from his car while on a pizza delivery, while Amelia Randall Meath first experienced it during her lunch hour in a van.
