Silent Hill f, the highly anticipated addition to the renowned survival horror franchise, was first announced by Konami in 2022. After more than two years of anticipation, exciting new details have emerged during the latest Silent Hill Transmission, including a captivating new cinematic trailer. This installment takes the series’ signature small-town horror to Japan in the 1960s.
Silent Hill f marks the franchise’s first venture set in Japan and will feature an entirely new cast of monsters, although fans can expect nostalgic Easter eggs from earlier titles. The narrative centers on a young student named Shimizu Hinako, who becomes embroiled in a surreal nightmare as she navigates a twisted version of her hometown, Ebisugaoka.
To survive this harrowing experience, Hinako must confront horrific creatures, solve challenging puzzles, and unravel the dark mystery shrouding her town. The game culminates in a “beautiful yet terrifying choice” that Hinako must face.
Renowned composer Akira Yamaoka returns to create the haunting score for scenes set in the fog-laden world of Ebisugaoka, while Kensuke Inage will provide music for the atmospheric Otherworld sequences.
Although a release date has yet to be announced, Silent Hill f is confirmed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, raising excitement among fans of the franchise.
