Jakarta, ECNETNews – FIFA has approved the federation transfers of Joey Pelupessy, Dean James, and Emil Audero. This decision allows all three players to represent the Indonesian national team in upcoming matches.
The addition of these players will significantly strengthen the Indonesian squad as they prepare to face Australia and Bahrain in the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers for the Asian zone.
PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir expressed his approval of the transfers, confirming their registration in the national team roster.
“We are grateful that Emil Audero, Dean James, and Joey Pelupessy have successfully completed their federation transfers and can be registered for the Indonesian national team,” said Thohir during a press conference on March 13, 2025.
Thohir has high expectations for these players, citing their extensive experience in European football. He believes they will deliver exceptional performances for Indonesia.
“These three players, with their backgrounds in Europe, are set to enhance the Indonesian national team as we take on Australia and Bahrain in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. They are ready to give their best for the Merah Putih and shine on the global stage,” he added.
