The analysis indicates that 4.7 million jobs in the U.S. are directly supported through TikTok usage. This encompasses:
- More than 3.1 million workers involved in jobs that include creating content or managing TikTok accounts.
- Over 1.6 million workers benefiting indirectly, including sales teams generating leads, marketing teams engaging customers, and product teams analyzing user feedback.

The research highlights that 74% of businesses on TikTok report that the platform has been instrumental in scaling their operations, a trend seen in both small and large enterprises. TikTok’s innovative format allows businesses to create engaging content, broadening their reach and spurring revenue growth.

This report builds on earlier studies, which estimated that small and mid-sized businesses using TikTok contributed $24 billion to the U.S. GDP and supported 224,000 jobs across the supply chain. Unlike earlier analyses, the latest report evaluates businesses of all sizes, resulting in a much higher estimate of total jobs linked to TikTok.
Data for this research was collected through a survey involving 1,000 respondents from various businesses across all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Participants were required to have a TikTok business account, and the findings also integrated proprietary business account data alongside U.S. Census Bureau estimates.
