ECNETNews reports that a new teaser trailer has been released for the highly anticipated film Range Life: A Pavement Story, directed by Alex Ross Perry. The movie features Joe Keery from Stranger Things in the role of Stephen Malkmus. The recently unveiled clip includes the classic Pavement track “Shady Lane,” which fittingly resonates with the lyric, “You’ve been chosen as an extra in the movie adaptation of the sequel to your life.” Be sure to catch the trailer below.
The ensemble cast of Range Life also includes notable names such as Jason Schwartzman, Fred Hechinger, Tim Heidecker, Logan Miller, Griffin Newman, and Nat Wolff. Formerly known as Pavements, the film premiered at the Venice Film Festival last year, but a broader release date has yet to be announced.
In addition to his role in the Pavement film, Joe Keery is set to release new music under the name Djo. His upcoming album, The Crux, will be available early next month.
