Bandung, ECNETNews – Persib Bandung, in collaboration with Dompet Dhuafa Jawa Barat, launched a charitable initiative to welcome the holy month of Ramadan at Graha Persib, Jalan Sulanjana, Bandung, on February 26, 2025.
The event, titled ‘KolaboraSIB Kebaikan,’ featured a series of activities including a Tausyiah from Ustadz Sofyan Yahya, a Talk Show with Damar Pawitrasari, free health checks, and the distribution of donations to orphans and visually impaired individuals.
Attendees included Kuswara S. Taryono and Iwan Hanafi, commissioners of PT. Persib Bandung Bermartabat, along with team representatives such as assistant goalkeeper coach I Made Wirawan and players Dedi Kusnandar and Febri Hariyadi.
“This collaboration between PT PBB and Dompet Dhuafa Jawa Barat is a positive step. It shows that Persib is not only part of the sports industry but also cares about social and humanitarian issues,” said Kuswara. “We hope that this synergy continues, ideally throughout the year, not just during Ramadan or certain months. We were also given fresh vegetables and fruits as part of this initiative,” he added.
During the event, Persib also mourned the passing of the father of player Rachmat Irianto, Bejo Sugiantoro. Kuswara requested prayers from all attendees for both the team’s success in the Liga 1 and for the deceased. “Please pray for Persib to become champions in Liga 1, especially with an upcoming match against Persebaya. Let us also pray for Rachmat Irianto’s father; may his faith be accepted by Allah SWT,” he stated.
Yogi Achmad Fajar, head of Dompet Dhuafa Jawa Barat, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration with Persib, also presenting the team with a humanitarian award. “In our partnerships with corporations, we always express gratitude as they think beyond profit to show care for others,” Yogi noted.
Yogi further expressed hopes that such positive activities could inspire not only football clubs but also other companies and brands to act on social humanitarian efforts. “May this serve as inspiration for football clubs and brands alike to show care for social issues alongside partners like Dompet Dhuafa,” he concluded.
