Study Reveals Stray Dogs Show Preference for Yellow Bowls
Research conducted on street dogs in India has unveiled a surprising preference for the color yellow. In a recent experiment, these free-ranging canines were observed approaching a yellow bowl almost three times more frequently than a nearby blue or grey bowl, even when the latter contained food.
The results of this study indicate that dogs may possess an innate attraction to the color yellow, or they could be associating it with discarded food commonly found in yellow containers, according to researchers from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Kolkata. These findings contribute to our understanding of canine color perception and behavior.
