Amsterdam-based electronic producer Nazar is set to release his highly anticipated new album, Demilitarize, on April 25. This marks his first album in five years, following the acclaimed Guerrilla. The lead single, "Anticipate," has been unveiled, showcasing Nazar’s creative evolution.
In a recent statement, Nazar reflected on the album’s introspective nature, stating, "I wanted to create a metaphysical soundscape, drawing inspiration from classic cyberpunk anime." This departure from the real-world influences of Guerrilla hints at a more abstract universe within Demilitarize.
Nazar’s journey to this album has been profoundly shaped by personal challenges. After battling COVID-19, he faced serious health issues linked to a previous tuberculosis diagnosis, which fueled an introspective exploration of his mortality and a burgeoning romance, ultimately inspiring the tracks on Demilitarize.
The album will feature a total of ten tracks, including:
- Core
- Anticipate
- War Games
- Mantra
- Unlearn
- Disarm
- Open
- Safe
- Heal
- DMZ
Stay tuned for more updates on Nazar and the release of Demilitarize.
