A violent incident unfolded in Ramgarh, Rajasthan, where a Dalit family was attacked by a group of 20 to 25 individuals. The shocking event was recorded and subsequently went viral on social media platforms.
Seven family members sustained injuries during the assault, which reportedly occurred on Sunday in Goha village. The attackers wielded sticks and sharp weapons, prompting the injured to seek treatment at both government and private hospitals, with two individuals being referred to a higher medical facility for further care.
Mukesh Kumar Jatav, a representative of the affected family, explained that they were harvesting mustard on their land when the assailants struck. “They came with sticks and weapons and started beating us. My family owns this land, and we were working on it,” he stated.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, and a case has been registered against the attackers, with some suspects already detained. Sub-Inspector Dayachand Meena confirmed, “A dispute over land led to the attack. We have filed an FIR and taken some people into custody.”
