The Smile has announced an exciting collaboration with acclaimed British producer James Holden and versatile multi-instrumentalist Robert Stillman for a fresh remix of tracks from their latest album, Cutouts. Fans can now experience Holden’s interpretation of "Don’t Get Me Started" and Stillman’s remix of "Instant Psalm." These remixes are paired with unique visuals, crafted by a prominent visual artist, described as “recycled video mixes.” Both tracks will be available as a double-A side, 12" single, set for release on March 28.
Following the success of their albums Wall of Eyes and Cutouts last year, the trio has also released a three-track live 12" single, which quickly sold out. The original visuals for these remixed tracks, as well as for "No Words" and "Zero Sum," were also created by the same visual artist. This latest release promises to be a significant addition to The Smile’s innovative discography, further showcasing their artistic evolution. Keep an eye out for the upcoming single!
