This year celebrates the 30th anniversary of the iconic Twisted Metal game on the PlayStation 1, and fans have exciting news: the Twisted Metal TV series is set to return for Season 2 in 2025. A first-look teaser has been unveiled, showcasing Anthony Mackie’s character, John Doe, who recaps the thrilling events of the first season while hinting at the intense vehicular combat to come.
In the teaser, John reflects on his journey, including his connection with Quiet, portrayed by Stephanie Beatriz, and the notorious Sweet Tooth, voiced by Will Arnett and physically represented by Samoa Joe. This upcoming season promises to deliver dramatic confrontations, especially as John confronts Dollface, his long-lost sister.
The trailer also introduces Anthony Carrigan as Calypso, the enigmatic figure orchestrating the Twisted Metal tournament. Fans might notice a striking transformation, as Carrigan is seen with a full head of hair after his memorable role as NoHo Hank in a previous series.
Showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith has teased that Season 2 will be “a fast-paced, hysterical, thrilling season with unforgettable characters,” hinting at a high-stakes storyline where not all characters may make it through unscathed.
Joining the cast this season are Richard de Klerk, Patty Guggenheim, and Tiana Okoye, whose roles remain under wraps. Twisted Metal Season 2 is set to premiere on Peacock this summer, promising an exhilarating ride for fans of the franchise.
