The launch of the highly-anticipated Fantasy EFL marks the introduction of the EFL’s first-ever fantasy football game featuring all 72 clubs. Now live for players, Fantasy EFL allows fans to build their teams from nearly 2,000 players across the Championship, League One, and League Two ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Fantasy EFL’s unique format challenges managers to select seven players from across the divisions and two clubs to win additional points each gameweek. Teams can be formed using various formations, with flexibility to change players until match kick-off.
Throughout each gameweek, which runs from Thursday to Wednesday, managers can make unlimited transfers. Captains earn double points, and a special ‘Max Captain’ chip allows the leader of a manager’s squad to double their points up to twice a season. While there’s no limit to how often a player can be selected, managers are restricted to choosing players from the same EFL club up to five times a season.
Point scoring aligns with traditional fantasy football systems, providing a familiar experience for avid players. The innovative scoring system for EFL clubs aims to enhance user engagement and foster excitement weekly.
Competing with Friends and Prize Opportunities
Fantasy EFL encourages social interaction as players can set up private leagues with friends or engage in public leagues within the broader Fantasy EFL community. Individual clubs will host their leagues, and participants can join a global league upon signup.
Throughout the season, participants have a chance to win various prizes including EFL club season tickets and exclusive Fantasy EFL merchandise. Monthly rewards will be awarded to top players in the public league, and the winners of individual club leagues at season’s end will enjoy the benefit of a season ticket for 2025/26.
Fantasy EFL is now accessible through web and mobile applications for iOS and Android users, allowing fans to engage for free.

Next season, over 1,000 EFL matches will be available for viewing, with each League One and League Two team featured live at least 20 times. All 24 Championship clubs will appear at least 24 times, ensuring widespread access to matches for fans.
