The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has pledged that the people of Anambra will enjoy good governance if they elect an APC governor in the upcoming November 2025 governorship election. During a recent event in Awka, Ganduje highlighted the party’s political strength and readiness to provide essential logistics for securing victory in Anambra.
Ganduje reassured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to addressing the country’s challenges with a clear sense of purpose. He made this declaration while inaugurating the party’s new state secretariat, which was secured by Sir Paul Chukwuma, a prominent governorship aspirant.
The commissioning event gathered key political figures, governorship aspirants, and policymakers who discussed the party’s primaries and its prospects in the forthcoming election. Ganduje emphasized the APC’s resolve to integrate Anambra into the national political framework, criticizing the state’s past engagement in “rural politics,” which has hindered its access to the benefits of democracy.
Addressing stakeholders, Ganduje expressed his dissatisfaction with Anambra’s political development despite its wealth of human and natural resources. He underscored the party’s conviction that it can shift the state’s political landscape towards greater national relevance.
“We are here for three critical activities: commissioning our new party secretariat, holding a stakeholders’ meeting to discuss pertinent issues, and solidifying our support for key individuals,” he stated, noting the unity and operational readiness of the APC in Anambra.
Ganduje called on party members and aspirants to remain focused, ambitious, and dedicated to a clear strategy for the future. He pointed out that although the APC currently controls two of the five states in the South-East, there is a need to connect Anambra to the national political grid to accelerate its development.
He further expressed confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, stating that the administration is dedicated to fortifying democracy, promoting economic growth, and enhancing governance across the nation. Ganduje praised Tinubu as a visionary leader committed to advancing Nigeria’s standing.
In a significant moment, Sir Paul Chukwuma hailed the establishment of functional ward offices across all 326 wards in Anambra, marking a historic achievement for the APC in the region. He emphasized the party’s focus on grassroots engagement and inclusivity, pledging to create opportunities for women and youth within the leadership framework to ensure a sustainable future for Anambra.
