Dar es Salaam – Pioneering Power and Electric Technology Exhibition Highlights Environmental Conservation and Economic Opportunities
The inaugural Power and Electric Technology Exhibition, dubbed Power and Electric Tanzania 2025, took place in Dar es Salaam, emphasizing the dual objectives of fostering economic opportunities and promoting environmental sustainability.
Held at the Diamond Jubilee Hall, this three-day exhibition brought together industry leaders and businesses, showcasing innovations in renewable energy and electric technology.
"The purpose of this exhibition is to unlock significant economic and social opportunities for our nation," said a representative from the organizing body.
Described as the first of its kind in Tanzania, this event aims to forge lasting partnerships among businesses from Tanzania and India. Key highlights included the introduction of modern construction equipment, an electric stove priced at only Sh200, and an electric-powered tricycle—all designed to promote the use of quality electric products and clean energy solutions.
These innovations address pressing global issues related to climate change, particularly those stemming from reliance on fossil fuels, which release carbon dioxide and contribute to environmental degradation.
In addition to product demonstrations, the exhibition focused on educational initiatives that encourage the use of clean energy technologies. "We strive to reduce environmental pollution by equipping citizens with access to standardized technologies," the representative stated.
Moreover, the exhibition aimed to enhance the visibility of Tanzanian products in the renewable and sustainable energy sectors, featuring innovations in safe cooking methods, lighting technologies, electrical cables, transformers, and various other electrical equipment.
An attendee highlighted the significance of the event for bolstering market opportunities and business collaborations between Tanzanian and Indian firms.
Participants like the manager of a sustainable energy services company emphasized their commitment to promoting clean cooking energy solutions and renewable energy initiatives for environmental preservation.
