In an exciting announcement, Alabama Shakes, the renowned trio featuring vocalist and guitarist Brittany Howard, along with guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell, will embark on their first tour since 2017. This highly anticipated North American tour is set for summer 2024 and will feature an impressive lineup of talented supporting acts, including Sam Evian, El Michels Affair, Shannon & the Clams, and Lee Fields. Fans can look forward to live performances of classic hits along with new music from the band.
Brittany Howard expressed her enthusiasm for the reunion in a recent statement, saying, “After reflecting on the meaningful experiences we’ve shared, we couldn’t resist the opportunity to create new music and hit the road again as Alabama Shakes. The joy this band brings us is immeasurable, and it’s hard to believe it’s been a decade since we released our album Sound & Color. While we honor our past, we are equally excited for the future, with new music set to be released soon. We can’t wait to feel that rush as we play our favorite songs like ‘Don’t Wanna Fight’ and ‘Gimme All Your Love.’”
Alabama Shakes last released an album in April 2015 and has been collaborating with producer Shawn Everett on upcoming material. Howard, in addition to the band’s activities, has successfully launched two solo albums.
