Elton John and Brandi Carlile are set to release a highly-anticipated album titled Who Believes in Angels? on April 4. The title track is now available for listening, and an exciting album trailer has been unveiled.
This collaborative project features longtime Elton John songwriting partner Bernie Taupin and producer Andrew Watt. The creative process commenced in October 2023 at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Notable musicians contributing to the album include Chad Smith, drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, acclaimed bassist Pino Palladino, and versatile multi-instrumentalist Josh Klinghoffer.
Recently, John, Carlile, Taupin, and Watt received a nomination for the 2025 Academy Award for Best Original Song for their collaboration featured on Who Believes in Angels?. This particular track was originally created for the documentary Elton John: Never Too Late.
In a prior collaboration, John and Carlile released the song “Simple Things” as part of John’s Lockdown Sessions album in 2021. This new partnership promises to deliver an extraordinary listening experience.
