Abel Tesfaye, known as The Weeknd, has unveiled the first trailer for his highly anticipated movie, Hurry Up Tomorrow, which shares its title with his new album. Directed by Trey Edward Shults, this psychological thriller features Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan alongside The Weeknd, who portrays a fictionalized version of himself. The gripping trailer teases a series of enigmatic events that the characters will navigate.
Released last week, Hurry Up Tomorrow the album marks the conclusion of The Weeknd’s latest trilogy, which started with 2020’s After Hours and continued with 2022’s Dawn FM. The new album includes hit singles "Timeless" and "São Paulo," along with collaborations from prominent artists such as Lana Del Rey, Justice, Giorgio Moroder, Future, Florence and the Machine, and Travis Scott.
In a surprising turn of events, The Weeknd took to the stage at the 2025 Grammy Awards, performing "Cry for Me" from Hurry Up Tomorrow alongside Playboi Carti. This performance concluded a long-standing boycott of the Recording Academy.
Looking ahead, The Weeknd is set to kick off a stadium tour this summer in support of his new album, with Playboi Carti joining him for this exciting leg of the After Hours Til Dawn Tour.
