ECNETNews reports that a special concert featuring the Orquestra Sinfônica Heliópolis, from the Instituto Baccarelli, is set to take place at Theatro Municipal de São Paulo on August 19. This exclusive event will be recorded and later broadcast on ECNET, with the airing date to be announced.
The concert, conducted by Isaac Karabtchevsky since 2011, will showcase classical masterpieces from renowned composers including Beethoven, Villa-Lobos, Johann Strauss, Lorenzo Fernández, and Tchaikovsky. This performance celebrates the 55th anniversary of the station, marked on June 15.
As part of the anniversary festivities, beloved programs have returned in remastered versions, including “Provocações,” hosted by Antônio Abujamra, as well as the children’s show “Mundo da Lua.” Additionally, new programming has been introduced, such as “Meu Nome é Correria” featuring Cazé Pecini.
In a significant development, it has been reported that the orchestra will receive a new venue, the Teatro Baccarelli, set to open in December in Heliópolis, the largest favela in São Paulo.
