The U.S. military executed airstrikes against ISIS operatives located in the Golis Mountains of Somalia, coordinated with the Somali government. The operation, conducted on Saturday, was highlighted by President Trump who claimed the airstrikes precisely targeted a “Senior ISIS Attack Planner.”
President Trump detailed the successful operation, asserting that the strikes obliterated the caves utilized by the terrorists while ensuring civilian safety was maintained.
While the White House has not disclosed specific casualty figures, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reported that multiple ISIS operatives were eliminated and reiterated that there were no civilian injuries.
“This strike conveys a clear message,” Hegseth stated, indicating U.S. commitment to finding and neutralizing threats against its citizens and allies.
