With stable weather conditions forecasted for next month, ECNETNews presents a comprehensive guide to local, national, and international festivals taking place over the weekends in Mongolia.
The highly anticipated “Ten Thousand Camel Festival” will occur in Umnugovi province from February 1-3. Renowned among tourists, this festival is a key tourism event in the Gobi region and celebrates its 26th anniversary this year. Last year’s event attracted over 400 camels from seven provinces and welcomed 8,500 domestic and 120 international visitors.
The “Burkhant Winter Festival” will take place on February 1 and 2. Now in its second year, this festival promotes winter sports and traditional celebrations, aiming to boost domestic tourism and foster awareness of cultural heritage through a blend of culture, sports, and tourism activities.
The “Ulaanbaatar Winter Festival” is set for February 15 and 16, organized by the Ulaanbaatar Tourism Department.
The “Nomad Winter Festival,” a draw for both local and international tourists, will unfold in Ulaanbaatar from February 16 to 23.
Finally, the “Blue Pearl-2025” international ice festival will be celebrated from February 13-23 in Khatgal, Khuvsgul province, showcasing the beauty and excitement of winter in Mongolia.
