Giovanna Jacobina has accused Marcelo Prata of making a misogynistic comment regarding her sister, Gracyanne Barbosa, during a recent episode of BBB 25. Following the incident, Giovanna addressed the allegation with Marcelo, but public backlash ensued, with many pointing out various reasons that may have led to the statement.
During the game dynamic, contestants were tasked with selecting an ally and two pairs they preferred not to work with. Giovanna and Gracyanne opted to challenge Marcelo and Arleane, citing misogyny as their reason for the vote.
“Marcelo made a rather invasive comment that felt somewhat misogynistic about my sister, and as her protective sister, I felt uncomfortable and didn’t appreciate it,” Giovanna stated.
She did not detail the comment during the game, leaving Marcelo curious about his perceived mistake. After the live broadcast, he sought clarification from her regarding his comments.
“She mentioned that I confused her sister’s name with Viviane Araújo,” Marcelo explained to his fellow contestants. He expressed dissatisfaction with her explanation, asserting that there was no misogyny in his remark.
Earlier, he and Gracyanne had discussed samba schools, where Gracyanne praised Viviane, the queen of the Salgueiro drum corps. Viviane is also the ex-wife of Belo, who was formerly married to Giovanna.
Furthermore, social media users highlighted previous remarks made by Marcelo regarding the bodybuilder. In one instance, Arleane playfully touched Gracyanne’s back, with her permission, and invited Marcelo to do the same. “No, no, just her,” the fitness influencer responded.
Users online also pointed out that Marcelo commented on Gracyanne’s involvement in adult content, claiming he wouldn’t need to subscribe to see her on the platform.
