Religious fervor filled the air during the ‘Chakrasnanam’ celebration at the Lord Venkateswara temple on Saturday in honor of Vaikunta Dwadasi. The festival featured a majestic procession of the idol of Lord Sudarshan Chakrathalwar to the Pushkarini, the temple tank adjacent to the main shrine, where priests conducted sacred rituals.
Following the completion of the ceremonial rites, priests immersed the idol of Lord Chakrathalwar in the tank waters, accompanied by the powerful chants from sacred hymns. Enthusiastic devotees, who had awaited the auspicious moment, eagerly plunged into the tank to partake in the holy dip.
The elaborate spiritual observance took place under the guidance of the senior pontiff of the hill temple, with notable attendees including TTD Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao and trustee board member Panabaka Lakshmi, alongside other temple officials.
