Carbine Harvester Aims for Hat-Trick at Lingfield
Carbine Harvester is set to chase a hat-trick for trainer William Haggas at Lingfield this afternoon, making him the sole representative of the stable at the meeting.
1.58 Lingfield – Carbine Harvester Takes on Brosay
In a highly competitive race, the in-form Carbine Harvester will look to continue his winning streak. The three-year-old, who has shown remarkable improvement since moving to handicaps, has won at Wolverhampton and Southwell and enters this race 4lb ahead of expectations.
Brosay emerges as the primary threat following a solid debut win under trainer Paul Attwater, and he is expected to thrive with the distance increase to six furlongs.
Dream Voyage and Sergio Parisse are also in contention.
2.32 Lingfield – A Tight Contest Between Starshiba & Bowood
With a string of victories in recent weeks, the Jack Morland team is riding high, and Starshiba is likely to attract attention after clinching a similar race at this course last month.
Bowood, narrowly missing out in his last two races at Southwell, is a significant contender if he can secure a better start on his quest for an all-weather win.
Additionally, Marco Botti’s Invincible Aura remains competitive and should not be overlooked.
11.58 Lingfield – Knockbrex, Hitched, and Epsom Faithfull Lead the Opener
The opening race promises to be competitive, featuring several strong contenders in the Gamble Responsibly At BetUK Handicap.
Knockbrex showed significant improvement when stepping up to 12 furlongs, winning at this course previously, and his 5lb penalty seems reasonable despite the distance reduction.
David Simcock’s Hitched ended last year on a high note, although the handicapper has taken note of his performance. Epsom Faithfull has also performed admirably at this course and distance and is a strong candidate.
Best of the Rest
James Owen’s Khangai will be racing in the Deva Racing colors at 12.28pm at Lingfield, alongside Moon Over The Sea, who recently impressed with a victory at Wolverhampton.
Forever Proud is another potential contender for Owen in the last race but may not run after securing a comfortable win just two days ago.
