In anticipation of the upcoming 216th Independence Day flower show organized by the Department of Horticulture at Lalbagh, Bengaluru Traffic Police have implemented traffic restrictions starting August 8. The 12-day event is expected to attract approximately 1 million visitors, including dignitaries and school groups.
To facilitate smooth traffic flow, parking will be prohibited in Wilson Garden traffic police station limits and adjacent roads.
Designated Parking Locations
- Dr. Marigowda Road: Al-Ameen College grounds for two-wheelers
- K.H. Road: Shanthinagar BMTC multi-storey parking facility for both two and four-wheelers
- Dr. Marigowda Road: Hopcoms parking area available for two and four-wheelers
- J.C. Road: BBMP parking facility for both two-wheelers and four-wheelers
Prohibited Parking Zones
- Dr. Marigowda Road from Lalbagh main gate to Nimhans on both sides of the road
- K.H. Road: K.H. Circle to Shanthinagar junction on both sides
- Lalbagh Road from Subbaiah Circle to Lalbagh main gate on both sides
- Siddaiah Road from Urvashi Theatre junction to Wilson Garden 12th Cross, both sides
- BTS Road: From BMTC junction toward the post office
- Krumbigal Road on both sides
- Lalbagh West Gate to R.V. Teachers’ College
- R.V. Teachers’ College to Ashoka Pillar
- Ashoka Pillar to Siddapura Junction
To mitigate traffic congestion, visitors are strongly encouraged to utilize public transport options such as the Metro and BMTC services.
