A former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has firmly rejected rumors claiming that he has defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In an official statement, El-Rufai urged the public to dismiss these unfounded allegations, labeling them as “patent lies.” He indicated that he has instructed his legal team to pursue action against those responsible for disseminating this false information.
“Please disregard the patent lies and rumors about my political affiliation. I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers,” El-Rufai stated.
A close associate of the former governor also criticized the accusations, emphasizing that El-Rufai, a significant figure within the APC, would publicly announce any such defection if it were to occur.
