Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Reveals Central Park Incident Involving Dead Bear Cub
In a recent video, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. candidly shared a 2014 incident where he disposed of a dead bear cub in Central Park, a story that has sparked intrigue among New Yorkers for nearly a decade.
During the clip, Kennedy recounted to actress Roseanne Barr how he found the bear after it had been killed by a car while he was driving outside the city. He initially intended to harvest its meat, a legal practice in New York provided that authorities are notified.
While discussing the event, Kennedy claimed to find humor in the situation, suggesting it would be entertaining to stage the bear’s presence as the result of an accident involving an errant cyclist. He noted that his companions, who had been drinking, found the idea amusing.
Following a falconry outing, Kennedy realized he could not return home with the bear in his car. Instead, he chose to leave the carcass in Central Park, coincidentally as a series of bicycle accidents had been reported in the area. The next day, the bear’s body was discovered, leading to significant media coverage and police presence.
As the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation stated, the bear had died from a high-speed collision, and due to time constraints, no charges can be made regarding the incident.
This revelation comes at a challenging time for Kennedy’s presidential campaign, with his popularity dwindling in recent polls. Despite struggles in fundraising and campaign activities, Kennedy emphasized his commitment to his presidential bid.
