ECNETNews, SOUTH KOREA, Dec. 26, 2024: Chairman Lee Man-hee delivered a compelling sermon on the true meaning of Christmas during the “Christmas Commemoration Service” held on December 25 at the Suwon Church of Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.
The event was graced by over 100 Protestant pastors from the Seoul metropolitan area, attracting approximately 13,800 attendees.
“Jesus, who is holy and without sin, took upon Himself the sins of humanity, opening a new path of life. This is why Jesus became our Savior,” stated Chairman Lee in his sermon, emphasizing the essence of the Christmas celebration.
During this special service, the attendees were urged to remember the profound sacrifice of Jesus, who shed His blood for humanity’s atonement, and to embody their faith in alignment with biblical teachings, especially in this critical time of Revelation’s fulfillment.
Chairman Lee reiterated, “God has been devoted to saving humanity. Following God’s will, Jesus bore the sins of the world for our salvation.” He added, “This is why we commemorate the birth of Jesus. Without His sacrifice, humanity would have faced devastation akin to the time of Noah.”
“The purpose of our faith is to enter the kingdom of heaven. This is why we have persevered through trials. The Book of Revelation is being fulfilled with the Second Coming of Jesus,” emphasized Chairman Lee.
Chairman Lee also noted, “What Shincheonji Church of Jesus testifies to is the actual fulfillment of prophecy, not merely predictions for the future. It is vital for everyone to confirm this for themselves.”
In addressing the pastors present, he asserted, “Every shepherd must instruct their congregation in the truth as revealed in Revelation,” marking the conclusion of his impactful sermon.
In a vibrant display of faith, over 12,000 members of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus welcomed Chairman Lee and visiting pastors with a procession that extended nearly 700 meters around the church, holding signs of affection and warmth.
Members expressed their anticipation and joy, with one congregant stating, “I joined the welcoming line to experience firsthand the words of someone who has witnessed God’s unfolding work.”
The event featured lively performances, including traditional Korean percussion bands and military bands, captivating passersby and local citizens. A shopkeeper noted the surprising sight of such a large gathering and remarked on the joy it brought during the holiday season.
In total, 13,800 people, which included pastors, congregants, and citizens, participated in this celebration.
A Baptist pastor reflected, “This event offered not just a celebration but a meaningful opportunity to contemplate the significance of Christmas and how to guide my congregation’s faith amidst the distractions of the world.”
A representative of Shincheonji Church emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration with Protestant pastors, highlighting the powerful message delivered by Chairman Lee about the active role of Jesus’ sacrifice within the church.
At 93 years old, Chairman Lee remains at the forefront of ministry, having visited over 70 Shincheonji branch churches across South Korea this year to address members’ concerns, illuminate the fulfillment of Revelation, and advocate for faith deeply rooted in the Bible.
