Airtel Faces Connectivity Issues in Ahmedabad, Reports Indicate Limited Outages
Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom operator, experienced connectivity disruptions in various cities on Thursday. However, company sources have clarified that the issues were primarily limited to Ahmedabad, where users faced a network outage for approximately 30 minutes in the morning.
Data from outage tracking sources indicated a spike in connectivity complaints around 11 AM on Thursday, with affected cities including Delhi, Jaipur, Surat, Hyderabad, and Mumbai. Reports of disrupted service gradually decreased in the hours following the initial complaints.
Sources within Airtel confirmed that the only significant downtime occurred in Ahmedabad due to a fiber cut. They stated that there were no nationwide outages.
Tracking websites noted that about 42% of the complaints reported a “total blackout,” while 32% indicated a loss of signal. Airtel has yet to provide a formal statement regarding the situation.
