Tragedy struck in Norway as at least three individuals lost their lives in a severe bus crash, according to reports from local media. The devastating incident occurred around 13:30 local time in the Hadsel district, located on the picturesque north-western coast of the country.
Eyewitness accounts indicate that the bus veered off the road, resulting in part of the vehicle entering Åsvatnet lake. At the time of the crash, it is believed the bus was transporting approximately 58 passengers.
Emergency response teams, including personnel from the Norwegian Red Cross, have been dispatched to the location of the accident on the E10 road. The organization reported via social channels that it is providing assistance in response to this grave situation.
Compounding the chaos, the region has been experiencing extreme weather conditions, including heavy snowdrifts and high winds, which may have contributed to the crash.
