Traffic disruptions hit the city for several hours on August 5 due to a school bus breakdown on the Ernakulam North overbridge during peak morning hours.
As a result, two-lane traffic was restricted to one lane, creating significant delays for commuters heading toward Ernakulam.
Long queues extended through Banerjee Road and M.G. Road, reaching all the way to Palarivattom. Traffic officials emphasized the importance of swift interventions, stating, “Traffic in the city can quickly come to a standstill, especially when key routes are blocked during busy hours. We deployed officers to manage the situation until the bus was towed and the lane was cleared.”
