Blake Lively is receiving support from her co-stars of the iconic 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants amid ongoing disputes with director Justin Baldoni of *It Ends With Us*.
Support from Co-Stars
In a statement shared over the weekend, America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, and Alexis Bledel expressed their solidarity with Lively as she confronts what they describe as a campaign aimed at ruining her reputation. “As Blake’s friends and sisters for over 20 years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation,” the trio stated. They praised Lively for her bravery in advocating for a safe work environment during the filming of *It Ends With Us*, expressing dismay over the alleged effort to undermine her voice.
“We are appalled by the exploitation of domestic violence survivors’ stories to silence a woman who sought safety. The hypocrisy is astounding,” they added. “Even a woman as strong and celebrated as Blake can face severe backlash for demanding a secure working environment, and we are inspired by her courage to stand up for herself and others.”
This show of support follows Lively’s recent legal complaint against Baldoni, which includes allegations of sexual harassment and efforts to damage her reputation. According to Lively, tensions escalated to a point where a significant meeting was convened to address her concerns about a hostile work environment. During this meeting, Lively made various requests to Baldoni regarding inappropriate conduct, including the cessation of discussions about pornography and comments on her physique.
Lively’s lawsuit also alleges that there was an agreement with production company Wayfarer Studios to promote the film in a way that highlighted her character’s strength rather than presenting it solely as a narrative on domestic violence. However, Lively claims Baldoni deviated from this agreement during interviews.
Additionally, the lawsuit reveals that Baldoni and his public relations manager allegedly discussed strategies to initiate a social media campaign aimed at tarnishing Lively’s image. The filing includes detailed communications between Baldoni’s publicist and others, allegedly plotting to have Lively “buried.”
