A new movie titled Hurry Up Tomorrow, coinciding with the Weeknd’s highly anticipated album, is set for a North American release on May 16, 2025. This suspense thriller features Abel Tesfaye alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan, directed by Trey Edward Shults, renowned for his work on acclaimed films. The production is under the Weeknd’s company, with Lionsgate distributing.
The film Hurry Up Tomorrow marks a continuation of Tesfaye’s journey following the cancellation of his earlier television series, The Idol, last year after its first season. Fans can also look forward to the new album, slated for release on January 24, which completes his trilogy that began with 2020’s After Hours and continued with 2022’s Dawn FM, the latter of which earned critical acclaim.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project and the Weeknd’s upcoming album.
