The nominations for the highly anticipated 2025 Golden Globe Awards have been revealed. Wicked stands out with Ariana Grande receiving her inaugural nomination, while the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown emerges as a leading contender, boasting nominations for Best Male Actor in a Drama for Timothée Chalamet and the prestigious Best Picture – Drama award. Mr. and Mrs. Smith also had a successful nomination morning, with Donald Glover and Maya Erskine recognized for their outstanding performances, along with a nod for Best Television Series – Drama.
In the music categories, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross garnered nominations for Best Original Score – Motion Picture for Challengers, alongside their song “Compress/Repress” nominated for Best Original Song. Daniel Blumberg, former frontman of Yuck, is also nominated for Best Original Score – Motion Picture for his work on The Brutalist, with Conclave, The Wild Robot, Emilia Pérez, and Dune: Part Two completing the category.
Additional nominees for Best Original Song include Miley Cyrus, Lykke Li, and Andrew Wyatt for “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl, along with contributors for Emilia Pérez, The Wild Robot, and the Robbie Williams feature Better Man. Emilia Pérez has also secured a nomination for Selena Gomez in the Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role category, where she competes against Grande and Margaret Qualley from The Substance, among others.
