The duo stars in the highly anticipated buddy comedy film One of Them Days, scheduled for release in theaters on January 24. This landmark film marks SZA’s debut in feature film acting.
One of Them Days explores the comedic misadventures of SZA and Palmer as two best friends and roommates who face the challenge of paying rent after one of their boyfriends squanders their money. Packed with humor and heartfelt moments, the R-rated film showcases their quest to find a way to make the rent and keep their friendship intact. Directed by Lawrence Lamont and produced by Issa Rae, the screenplay is crafted by Syreeta Singleton, a longtime collaborator of Rae. The cast also features notable talents including Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Maude Apatow, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Katt Williams, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, and Patrick Cage.
SZA recently shone at the Grammy Awards, earning accolades for Best R&B Song for “Snooze,” Best Progressive R&B Album for SOS, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Ghost in the Machine” alongside Phoebe Bridgers.
