The 12th edition of the ‘Voice of BT’ (Biotechnology) and ‘BEST’ (Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Student Teams) 2024 events was recently hosted at the Vellore Institute of Technology. These prestigious competitions were organized by the Career Development Centre (CDC) and the School of BioSciences and Technology at VIT.
The ‘Voice for BT’ serves as an inter-collegiate elocution contest, focusing on biotechnology topics, while the BEST contest encourages entrepreneurial spirit among students. This year, a total of 41 students from 24 colleges in the southern zone took part in these dynamic events.
Key figures from the biotechnology sector participated, lending their expertise and support to the competitions. The event underscores the growing importance of biotechnology education and entrepreneurship in India, fueling innovation and collaboration among the next generation of leaders.
