8BitDo has launched its Xbox-inspired transparent green Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard on sale for the first time since its debut earlier this year. Initially priced at $120 when it launched in January, this versatile wireless gaming keyboard is now available for a limited time at $102. Gamers can also pair it with the Retro R8 Wireless Gaming Mouse, priced at $60, for a complete setup.
There are additional discounts on other retro hardware-inspired keyboards from 8BitDo, including the Nintendo Entertainment System-themed N Edition, now available for $76, down from $100.

The Retro 87 TKL Xbox edition keyboard showcases an aesthetic that pays homage to Microsoft’s first home gaming console. It features a translucent green plastic shell and directional keys in the same color scheme as the Xbox controller face buttons. Notably, it includes an integrated Xbox button for quickly accessing the Xbox overlay menu on Windows. The keyboard also has a detachable panel housing two customizable microswitch buttons.
This stylish keyboard boasts RGB lighting and is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Android devices through 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired connections. The Retro R8 features an ambidextrous design with four additional programmable buttons matching the Xbox controller’s colors. It can connect to PC, Mac, and Android devices via Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless, with a USB-A dongle that can be stored inside the mouse or in the included magnetic charging dock. This mouse also supports a wired connection with its green USB-C cable.
Users can customize the Retro R8’s settings through the Ultimate Software V2 app, which is available for both desktop and mobile. Similar to the keyboard, the mouse is bundled with a one-month trial of PC Game Pass for new subscribers.
For those seeking different designs, various 8BitDo TKL wireless keyboards are currently on sale for up to $24 off, inspired by classic game consoles. Options include the NES-inspired N, Famicom-inspired Fami Edition, and Commodore 64-themed C64 Edition, all discounted by at least $20, with the NES-themed model available for $76.
