Participating companies included prominent names such as Cinépolis, AM Logistics, Acerofon, Holiday Inn, Central de Dulces, Cimaco, and Coca-Cola, among others from various locales. The available job positions ranged from operators to maintenance engineers and technicians, all offering statutory benefits.
The Subsecretary emphasized that the employment opportunities were targeted at individuals aged between 18 and 55, highlighting the wide range of job options available to attendees.
He acknowledged the economic challenges facing the region due to the closure of Altos Hornos de México (AHMSA), which suspended operations amid a financial crisis and is undergoing bankruptcy proceedings. In light of this situation, he underscored the government’s efforts to connect employers and job seekers to help alleviate the economic impact.
“Events like this help the community find formal employment. Currently, Coahuila leads the nation in labor formalization,” said the Subsecretary.
He also noted that these initiatives contribute to reducing unemployment rates, as the available job offers ensure social security and all legal benefits for workers.
