The 2024 Parliament elections in Mongolia were successfully conducted on June 28, 2024, achieving a remarkable voter turnout of 69.85 percent. This election marked a pivotal moment in Mongolian politics, as a total of 126 members were elected for the first time under recent Constitutional amendments. Following the elections, the General Election Committee convened on June 30 and announced the issuance of ID cards to the 78 candidates who garnered the most votes in each district, in addition to 48 members elected through party coalition agreements.
On July 1, 2024, the General Election Committee officially issued temporary ID cards to the successful candidates.
Today, July 2, 2024, the inaugural session of the new Parliament commences, with all 126 members participating in the oath-taking ceremony. The session was opened by the President of Mongolia, U.Khurelsukh, who delivered an address to mark this significant occasion.
